Every year we receive a professional, pro-active and efficient service from Roy and the team at Sturgess who assist our company with the preparation and filing of our annual accounts. With a keen eye for detail and first class advice they have also helped us to shape the way that we look after our own record keeping. The service is affordable and there are no hidden charges. Thoroughly recommended!

As a small business owner, Roy and his team looked after all my taxes, both business and personal as well as VAT filing. Having not much interest or knowledge of that side of things, I just handed it over. They looked after it all perfectly with warmth and professionalism. I have used Sturgess Accounting for two years now to file accounts for my life coaching practice. They have provided impecable service (albeit their messaging style is on a short, almost abrupt side), answered my questions whenever I didn’t understand something and submitted my accounts to HMRC and the Companies House in a timely manner. I am planning to contnue using their services.

Sturgess have been managing my accounts for nearly 10 years. They are not interested in doing unnecessary work for you which helps to keep their prices down. Their prices have remained stable for the last 5 years. Roy is a star. He is very quick and responsive in answering queries.

I am a medical doctor. I had my company and personal tax return done at Sturgess, by Roy. The reason for the switch was that my previous accountant - although good - could not be trusted to do things promptly, tax return always used to take weeks. With Sturgess everything was done and dusted in a few days. They gave a fair quote and stuck to it. They tried to find ways of reducing my tax bill as far as they could and again gave a fair quote for any potential additional work. That is all I ask for from an accountant. Trust, speed and fair pricing.

My first and lasting observation about Sturgess and Co Limited is that they are committed to be open and transparent. My tax accounts have been professionally prepared and submitted with a forecast which has always been verified by HM Revenue Department.
Two years ago Sturgess calculated X amount to be paid but the taxman blundered and overpaid me. Sturgess was surprised and sure enough the revenue department worked out the error and took their money back. The moral of the story is Sturgess was ahead of the game.

I’m retired and run a tiny database business. It’s purpose is to provide a professional case management system to dispute mediation services at a very low price that non-profits and charities can afford. My accounting needs are for simplicity, excellent service and low cost.
I’ve been with Sturgess & Co for several years and they’ve provided exactly what I need, in an exemplary way. My previous experience was of accounting relationships that were inflexible in their demands and too time consuming for a micro business. For people with needs like mine, Roy and his team are an outstanding class act.

I first engaged Sturgess & Co to take over the accounts for a charity I was managing at the time and I was glad I did. Not only did this move save the charity significant funds but the process was so much less time consuming and very professional. As a result I then asked them to look after the accounts of 2 social enterprises I was managing director of and was more than happy that the same high standards applied there too. This was 14 years ago.
Not long after I set up my own limited company and to be fair it was a no brainer to employ Sturgess and Co to look after my own company accounts. To say I have had no complaints in over 12 years of business says it all. In fact dealing with the same people, Roy, Mia and Blaine, has meant that the service provided has been seamless throughout, no being passed from pillar to post. The current turbulent times have caused a massive disruption to my business and to cashflow for sure, that is when you learn to value the responsiveness of the people you are working with as they strive to help you through the difficulties many businesses are experiencing.
